About Us

Herring Funeral Care & Cremations is a locally owned and operated establishment. Kevin A. Herring began his career more than 30 years ago and has dedicated his life to the funeral ministry. Together with Sharon Ferguson Worrell and her husband Michael, our facility opened January 30, 2007. Even though our business is young, our experience covers years of service, with careers in New York, Connecticut, and North Carolina. 

Herring Funeral Care & Cremations is committed to provide comfort to the families we serve and strive to provide quality, compassionate care. We will work with each family to create a meaningful final tribute within their means. With our modern facility and dedicated staff, we will help you personalize a service for your loved one, reflecting on and celebrating a life once lived. 

At Herring Funeral Care & Cremations, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate, respectful services to fulfill the needs of the families we serve. Whether you choose to arrange for services to be followed by burial, entombment, or cremation, we can advise you on the many choices you may want to consider. For either a funeral or memorial service, you may elect to conduct the services at our chapels, a church or other facility, or at graveside. 

Our General Price List provides a detailed description of the charges for these services. Also available are several package services which combine the items most often selected with various service types. These package services offer an economic benefit by including either a discount on your choice of casket or an allowance for the purchase of an urn if your choice includes cremation. We will gladly provide you with a copy of our general price list upon request.
